GWUPS is a new game system (non-electronic yet) that uses timeless, realistic and accustomed rules. This allows GWUPS to support many game plays including traditional ones and ones that are not thought of yet.

GWUPS is primarily a matching game. Example, a Straight-Female can match a Straight-Male but cannot match a Celibate-Female.

For GWUPS Card Game, some game plays will let you guess other players cards orientations, collect Couples and/or Exes, match cards by indices, etc. You can also use the GWUPS playing cards to play traditional games like Poker, BlackJack, Rummy, and more.

"GWUPS" is a friendly acknowledgement of a beautiful person, male or female. Gwups is a transliteration of the Cebuano slang "gwaps" which was derived from gwapo/guwapo for male and gwapa/guwapa for female. These words were originally derived from the Spanish words guapo and guapa which have similar meanings. Sample usage:

• Gwups!
• What's up gwups?
• How you doin' gwups?

Lionel, a Software Developer conceived the GWUPS game idea in New York. He moved to New Jersey, developed it, and applied patent from there.

There are 67 cards in a deck having 14 distinct faces.

It depends on the game play. The game plays are intended for a group (2 or more people) except for Solitaire.

You can either match by gender and preferences or match identical cards. The game play will determine which type of matching will be used. An example of the gender and preferences matching, if a player asks, picks or draws a Straight-Male card and one of his/her card is a Straight-Female card then both match. For identical matching, if a player draws a 7 card and one of his/her card is an identical 7 card then both match.

Yes, but in some game plays you lessen your chances to obtain more Couples and/or Exes.
