Use Person cards only.
First, pick which variation you want to play:
-
Sweet 16 (played with 3 cards)
-
Legal Age 18 (4 cards)
-
Legal Age 21 (5 cards)
The number of cards you start with depends on which of the three variations you are playing. The goal is to accumulate cards totaling the target “age” (16, 18, 21).
To Play
Deal the correct number of cards to each player. Put the remaining cards face down in a Draw Pile, and turn over the top card and begin a Discard Pile.
-
The Layout
If the sum of all the cards in hand equals the game target (16, 18, or 21), the Player wins.
Player1 may draw either a card or take the discarded card. (All subsequent players may pick either from the Draw Pile or take the discarded card of the last turn player. If last turn player did not discard a card, then player may only draw.)
Players may choose to replace a card in their hand with the new card if it will help get closer to the target sum.
Any player whose cards add up to the game target automatically wins.
If nobody has matched the target before all the Draw Pile runs out, the Player who has the highest sum that is not over the target wins.
Players who have sums that are over the target are called “over aged” or “too old.”
Players who have sums that are lower than the target and are not winners are called “underage” or “too young.”
The Players who are the most over aged are the losers. If there are no over aged then the youngests are the losers.
