GWUPS Card Game Plays : Solitaire

Use Person Cards only.

The objective is to clear your tableau of all your cards.

To Play

Lay them out similarly to the traditional Klondike solitaire game, using 9 columns. That is, deal the first card face up and then deal the next eight in a row, face down. Deal the next row by putting a card face up in the second column, and then dealing the next seven onto remaining rows, face down. Put a card, face-up, in the third column and then deal face-down onto the next six rows, and so on. So that you end up with nine piles of cards in front of you, with one card in the left-most column and nine in the right-most column.

- The Layout

The goal is to move all your cards up to one of two piles above the spread.

1. Celibates Pilefor all Celibate cards
2. Couples Pilefor all paired cards.

The play is similar to traditional solitaire. You may only play the cards that are face up on each column. Any Celibate cards get immediately moved to the Celibates Pile. Any cards that make a match (e.g., Straight-Male and Straight-Female) will be moved to the Couples Pile.

When play comes to a standstill, use the Draw Pile (the cards left after laying out your tableau) as you normally would for solitaire, by turning over three cards at a time to see if you can use the card to make a match. A player can use all the Draw Pile's cards except one.

You win if you move all your cards into the two piles at the top of the board.
